New Honda Africa Twin Range Unveiled at EICMA 2026

Honda has unveiled the new 2027 CRF1150L Africa Twin range at EICMA 2026 in Milan. The updated lineup gets a larger engine, a lighter chassis, and improved suspension technology. It also introduces a new Enduro Sports variant and Honda’s first motorcycle with the Honda SENSING RIDE safety system.

The range includes three models: the standard Africa Twin, Africa Twin Adventure Sports, and the all-new Africa Twin Enduro Sports.

More Power from a Larger Engine

The new Africa Twin gets a liquid-cooled 1,131cc parallel-twin engine, replacing the previous 1,100cc unit.

Key specifications:

  • Engine: 1,131cc parallel-twin
  • Power: 117hp
  • Torque: 119 Nm
  • Maximum power: 7,500 rpm
  • Peak torque: 5,700 rpm

Three Variants for Different Riding Styles

  • Africa Twin: Focuses on a balance of touring and off-road performance, with updated electronics and SHOWA EERA suspension.
  • Adventure Sports: Gets a 24-litre fuel tank, 19-inch front wheel, and improved touring comfort.
  • Enduro Sports: A new addition to the range, featuring CRF450 Rally-inspired styling and front suspension developed for serious off-road riding.

Honda’s New SENSING RIDE Technology

The Adventure Sports DCT variant will offer Honda SENSING RIDE as an option, making it the first Honda motorcycle to receive the system.

Using front and rear millimetre-wave radar units, it supports:

  • Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go
  • Group Ride Assist and Distance Assist
  • Forward Collision Warning and Emergency Brake Assist
  • Blind Spot Information
  • Rear Distance Information and Rear Collision Warning

The system works alongside Honda’s DCT transmission to make stop-and-go riding easier.
