Hyundai has unveiled the all-new Tucson, featuring a bolder design, an updated cabin, and a wider range of electrified powertrains. The new-generation SUV introduces the brand’s ‘Art of Steel’ design language and the Pleos Connect infotainment system with an AI-powered Gleo voice assistant.

The new Tucson will be offered with petrol, hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrains in European markets. Hyundai has not announced India launch plans or India-specific specifications.
Sharper Design, Larger Dimensions
The new Tucson measures 4,560mm long, 1,900mm wide and 1,670mm tall, making it 35mm longer, 35mm wider and 20mm taller than its predecessor. Its wheelbase has also grown by 40mm to 2,720mm.
Exterior highlights include H-Edge lighting, three-dimensional Prism rear lamps and muscular bodywork. Select versions will also get Micro Pixel Lighting with 25,600 individual LED pixels.
Three Powertrain Options
The European lineup includes a 1.6-litre turbo-petrol engine, a conventional hybrid and a plug-in hybrid.
- Petrol: 147hp, with a six-speed manual or seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox with 48V mild-hybrid technology.
- Hybrid: 241hp and 380 Nm, with a six-speed automatic gearbox.
- Plug-in hybrid: 288hp and 380 Nm, with a 17.1kWh battery and a claimed electric-only range of up to 81km.
The hybrid can tow up to 1,910kg, while the plug-in hybrid has a rated towing capacity of 1,810kg.
More Technology And Cabin Space
The cabin gets a 9.9-inch digital instrument display and a central touchscreen available in 12.9-inch and 17-inch sizes. Pleos Connect runs on Android Automotive OS and supports over-the-air updates.

Other features include wireless charging, four 100W USB-C ports, three-zone climate control and an available 12-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system. Boot capacity is rated at 695 litres, while seven airbags and Hyundai SmartSense driver assistance systems are included in the safety package.
