Oben Electric has rolled out its 10,000th electric motorcycle from its Bengaluru manufacturing facility, marking a major production milestone for the Indian EV maker. The company says the milestone reflects its growth across the Rorr series, with the Rorr Evo now driving its next phase of expansion.
The Rorr Evo has crossed 25,000 bookings, with production and pan-India deliveries already underway. Oben says it is now scaling production to meet demand.
Expanding Production
Oben Electric operates a 3.5-acre vertically integrated facility in Bengaluru with an annual production capacity of 1 lakh electric motorcycles. The company manufactures several key components in-house, including:
- LFP battery packs
- Electric motors
- Vehicle control units
- Chargers
- Proprietary software
The company says this gives it greater control over technology, quality and supply chains.
150+ Showrooms Across India
Oben currently has 150+ showrooms and dedicated Oben Care service centres across 90+ cities in 18 states. It plans to add another 200 exclusive showrooms by the end of FY27.
The expansion comes as the company targets India’s large motorcycle market. According to Oben, motorcycles account for nearly 65% of annual two-wheeler sales in the country, making electrification of the segment an important opportunity for EV manufacturers.
Rorr Evo Leads Growth
The Rorr Evo has emerged as a key demand driver for Oben, with the company highlighting its performance, practicality, technology, and pricing as part of its strategy to attract everyday motorcycle buyers.
With production scaling up and deliveries expanding across India, Oben is looking to increase the reach of its electric motorcycles beyond early adopters.
