Rolls-Royce Phantom Reggatta Unveiled as A One-Off Tribute to Britain’s Sailing Heritage

Rolls-Royce has unveiled the Phantom Regatta, a one-of-one Phantom Extended commission that celebrates the sailing culture of England’s south coast. The bespoke creation will make its public debut at the 2026 Goodwood Festival of Speed, showcasing the brand’s craftsmanship through a yacht-inspired design inside and out.

Inspired by The English Coastline

The Phantom Regatta draws inspiration from the waters of the Solent and Chichester Harbour, both located close to Rolls-Royce’s headquarters in Goodwood.

Its exterior is finished in a bespoke Regatta Blue upper body paired with English White on the lower half, mimicking the waterline of a racing yacht. Completing the look are 22-inch polished disc wheels, designed to resemble the gleaming winches found on luxury sailing yachts.

A Cabin That Resembles A Luxury Yacht

The interior follows the same nautical theme. The front cabin is trimmed in Navy Blue leather, while the rear seats are finished in Grace White, inspired by a yacht’s sails. Turquoise RR monograms and dual-tone stitching add subtle marine-inspired touches.

One of the biggest highlights is the hand-painted ‘Watercolour’ Gallery artwork stretching across the dashboard. Created by Rolls-Royce’s in-house artist, the piece captures the movement of the sea using specially developed paints and a custom blending technique perfected over weeks.

The rear picnic tables are equally impressive, requiring around 120 hours of craftsmanship. Finished in Royal Walnut with thin Black Bolivar wood strips, they recreate the appearance of a luxury yacht’s teak deck.

Bespoke Details Everywhere

Above the cabin sits a unique Starlight Headliner featuring 1,307 fibre-optic stars, arranged to represent the tidal currents around the Isle of Wight.

Rolls-Royce has also hidden a personal touch within the dashboard. The circular air vents are engraved with the geographical coordinates of Goodwood House and the Home of Rolls-Royce, visible only when the vents are adjusted.

A Showcase of Bespoke Craftsmanship

Rather than introducing new technology or performance upgrades, the Phantom Regatta serves as a showcase of what Rolls-Royce’s Bespoke division can achieve. Every surface, material, and finish has been tailored to tell a single story inspired by Britain’s sailing heritage.

Final Take

The Phantom Regatta perfectly captures what makes Rolls-Royce Bespoke so special. It’s not about adding more features, it’s about creating a deeply personal automobile that reflects its owner’s passion. In this case, the result is a Phantom that feels every bit as elegant and timeless as the yachts that inspired it.
