Royal Enfield Bullet 650: Specifications, Features, Launch Timeline, and Price

The Royal Enfield Bullet, recognised as the world’s oldest motorcycle continuously in production since 1932, is set for its latest update with the new Bullet 650. Revealed at EICMA 2025, the Bullet 650 enters the global 650cc segment while retaining the classic styling elements that have defined the Bullet for decades.

Engine and Mechanical Details

The Bullet 650 uses Royal Enfield’s familiar 648cc parallel-twin, air-oil cooled engine, shared with the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650. Outputs are 47 PS (46.4 hp) at 7,250 rpm and 52.3 Nm torque at 5,650 rpm. It comes with a six-speed gearbox, slipper clutch, and a steel tubular spine frame. Suspension consists of standard telescopic front forks (approx. 41 mm, 120 mm travel) and twin-tube rear shock absorbers (112 mm travel). The motorcycle rolls on wire-spoke wheels:19-inch front, 18-inch rear with tubed tyres. Braking is via a 320 mm disc (front) and 300 mm disc (rear), with dual-channel ABS.

Design and Features

The Bullet 650 retains traditional Bullet cues: teardrop-shaped fuel tank, hand-painted pinstripes, winged badges, and upright seating. The casquette headlamp unit with twin “tiger-eye” pilot lamps is now LED-equipped. Premium metal badging, contoured bench seats, and a single-piece seat are included. The instrument cluster is semi-digital: analogue speedometer and a digital display for gear indicator, tripmeter, fuel gauge, and service reminders. USB charging, adjustable levers, hazard light control, and Tripper Navigation are available.

Variants, Colours, and Availability

Globally, the Bullet 650 will be offered in Cannon Black and Battleship Blue colourways; only Cannon Black will be sold in Europe and North America from 2026. In India, both colours are expected when the bike arrives, likely early 2026. There is no official confirmation of the India launch date at the time of writing, but it’s anticipated to join Royal Enfield’s 650cc range alongside the Interceptor 650, Continental GT 650, Classic 650, and Super Meteor 650.

Price Estimates

Royal Enfield has not officially announced the Bullet 650’s price for India. Early reports and comparisons with other 650cc Royal Enfield models suggest an expected ex-showroom price starting at Rs 3.4 lakh up to Rs 3.7 lakh. The European price for Cannon Black is £6,749, and in North America it will retail for approximately $7,499 (~ ₹6.64 lakh).
