A new custom motorcycle based on the Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 has been unveiled in the United States at The One Motorcycle Show, called the Reload 650.
The motorcycle was created by See See Motorcycles and built by former AMA racer Thor Drake.
The Reload 650 takes heavy inspiration from 1980s AMA racing motorcycles and gets a much more aggressive and retro race-bike design compared to the standard Shotgun 650.
The custom-built features:
The rear section especially gives the bike a proper old-school superbike appearance.
Apart from the visual transformation, the Reload 650 also gets:
Despite the sporty styling, the handlebar setup gives the bike a more relaxed riding position than a traditional cafe racer.
The motorcycle continues to use the 648cc parallel-twin engine from the standard Royal Enfield Shotgun 650, although the company has not revealed any major engine performance upgrades for the custom build.
The Reload 650 is another reminder of how versatile the Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 platform has become for custom builders around the world. Instead of going for a traditional bobber or café racer look, this build leans heavily into vintage AMA race-bike styling, and honestly, it looks like something straight out of an old endurance racing paddock from the 1980s.
