Royal Enfield to Invest ₹2,200 Crore in New Andhra Pradesh Manufacturing Hub

Royal Enfield has announced plans to invest around ₹2,200 crore (over $232 million) in a new manufacturing facility in Andhra Pradesh, marking one of the company’s biggest expansion projects in recent years.

The new plant will come up in Satyavedu, Tirupati district, near the Andhra Pradesh-Tamil Nadu border.

Bigger Production Capacity

The new plant is expected to add around:

  • 9 lakh units annually to Royal Enfield’s production capacity

The company’s current annual manufacturing capacity stands at around 14.6 lakh units.

This expansion comes at a time when Royal Enfield continues to grow both in India and international markets.

More Than Just a Factory

The project will also include:

  • A dedicated vendor park
  • Supplier ecosystem support

The Andhra Pradesh government has allocated around 267 acres of land for the project.

Employment and Industrial Growth

According to the state government, the project could generate around:

  • 5,000 direct and indirect jobs

The investment is also expected to support industrial growth in southern Andhra Pradesh.

Andhra Pradesh’s Manufacturing Push

The Andhra Pradesh government says the project is part of a broader effort to attract investments in:

  • Automotive manufacturing
  • Mobility
  • Electronics
  • Renewable energy
  • Advanced manufacturing sectors

State Industries Minister Nara Lokesh described Royal Enfield as a brand known for heritage and craftsmanship, while also highlighting the importance of the investment for the region’s industrial growth.
