Skoda Kodiaq RS launched at ₹66.99 Lakh, Delivers 265 hp Performance

Skoda Auto India has officially launched the Kodiaq RS at an ex-showroom price of ₹66.99 lakh. As the performance flagship of the Kodiaq line-up, the fully imported SUV packs more power, sharper dynamics and a sportier design than the standard model. The first batch of just 50 units sold out in six minutes, highlighting the strong demand for Skoda’s RS badge in India.

More Power Under the Hood

Power comes from Volkswagen Group’s familiar 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, producing 265hp and 400Nm. That’s 61hp and 80Nm more than the standard Kodiaq. The engine is paired with a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox and an all-wheel-drive system.

Skoda claims the SUV can sprint from 0-100kmph in just 6.3 seconds, making it the quickest production Skoda ever sold in India.

Sportier Inside and Out

The RS gets several visual upgrades over the regular Kodiaq. These include more aggressive bumpers, 20-inch alloy wheels, gloss-black exterior elements, dual stainless-steel exhaust tips, a larger roof spoiler, and RS badging on the grille and tailgate.

Inside, the cabin receives RS sports seats, red contrast stitching, textured metallic trim, and sportier graphics for the 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster.

Feature highlights include:

  • 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system
  • Panoramic sunroof
  • Three-zone climate control
  • Ventilated, heated, and massaging front seats
  • 13-speaker Canton sound system
  • 360-degree camera
  • ADAS suite
  • Nine airbags

Premium Over the Standard Kodiaq

Priced at ₹66.99 lakh, the Kodiaq RS commands a ₹20 lakh premium over the top-spec Selection L&K variant. While that’s a significant jump, buyers get considerably more performance, adaptive suspension, unique styling, and the exclusivity of a limited-production RS model.

Final Take

The Kodiaq RS isn’t just a faster Kodiaq, it’s aimed at buyers who want family practicality without giving up driving excitement. It carries a hefty premium, but with a stronger engine, sharper chassis and genuine RS character, it delivers a level of performance that’s difficult to find in a seven-seat SUV at this price point.
