Spyker is making a comeback with the C8 Preliator XXV Coupe, reviving the Preliator name first introduced in 2016. The new model marks the return of founder Victor Muller, who now leads the company alongside co-owner Volodymyr Nosov.
The new Spyker brings back the brand’s distinctive mix of aviation-inspired design and handcrafted interiors, while introducing a completely redesigned spaceframe.
At the heart of the C8 Preliator XXV is a mid-mounted 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 producing 800bhp and 738lb-ft of torque.
The power is sent to the rear wheels through a “true manual gearbox”, complete with exposed linkage. Spyker is clearly keeping things old-school, with analogue dials and only a small head-up display instead of a large central touchscreen.
Spyker plans to build only 25 examples, with each car offering extensive customisation. Buyers can specify everything from the interior leather to the exterior detailing.
The company has not announced pricing yet, but given the exclusivity and hand-built nature of the car, it is unlikely to be inexpensive.
The C8 Preliator XXV is just the beginning of Spyker’s planned return. The company says it is also preparing to return to GT3 racing and continue development of the D8 Peking-to-Paris SUV, first shown as the D12 concept back in 2006.

Spyker’s comeback is anything but conventional. An 800hp twin-turbo V8, exposed manual linkage, analogue cabin and aviation-inspired styling make the C8 Preliator XXV feel like a supercar from a different era, and that’s exactly what makes it interesting.
