Tata Harrier, Safari Stealth Edition Return with Petrol Power, Matte Black Finish

Tata Motors has reintroduced the Stealth Edition of the Harrier and Safari for 2026. Unlike the earlier limited-run model, the new Stealth Edition will now be part of the regular line-up and, for the first time, is available with both petrol and diesel powertrains.

Prices

The Stealth Edition is based on the fully loaded variants of both SUVs.

Ex-showroom prices:

ModelPrice
Harrier Stealth Edition₹23.43 lakh – ₹26.01 lakh
Safari Stealth Edition₹24.04 lakh – ₹26.76 lakh

Matte black inside and out

The biggest change is cosmetic, with both SUVs receiving an exclusive Stealth Black finish.

Exterior highlights:

  • Matte Stealth Black paint
  • 19-inch Matte Stealth Black alloy wheels
  • ‘Stealth’ badges on the front fenders

Inside, the cabin gets:

  • All-black interior theme
  • Carbon Noir leatherette upholstery
  • Stealth-specific Terrain Response dial

Fully loaded feature list

Since the Stealth Edition is based on the top-spec trims, it comes packed with equipment.

Key features include:

  • 14.9-inch touchscreen infotainment
  • Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
  • 13-speaker JBL audio with Dolby Atmos
  • Ventilated and powered front seats
  • Panoramic sunroof
  • Dual-zone climate control
  • 360-degree camera
  • Level 2 ADAS
  • Alexa connectivity

Same petrol and diesel engines

Mechanically, nothing changes.

Engine options:

  • 1.5-litre turbo-petrol: 170hp, 280Nm
  • 2.0-litre turbo-diesel: 170hp, 350Nm

Both engines are available with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox.

Final take

The Stealth Edition doesn’t bring any mechanical upgrades, but it finally gives buyers more choice by adding the new turbo-petrol engine to the mix. The matte black finish still looks menacing, and if you were planning to buy a fully-loaded Harrier or Safari anyway, this is arguably the coolest way to do it.
