Kawasaki has revealed the 2027 Ninja 650 in the UK, bringing updates to its front suspension and braking hardware, along with a new instrument cluster and revised colour options. The updated middleweight sportbike retains its existing engine and six-speed gearbox.

The 2027 model is priced at £7,499 (₹8,11,669) in the UK, the same as its predecessor. Kawasaki has not announced an India launch timeline yet.

New Front Suspension and Brakes

The biggest changes are to the Ninja 650’s front-end hardware. The conventional 41mm telescopic fork has been replaced by a 37mm separate-function upside-down (USD) fork. Kawasaki says the new setup improves front-end feel and stability, particularly when entering corners.

The braking system has also been upgraded. The previous model’s axially mounted, two-piston front callipers make way for radially mounted, four-piston callipers, which are expected to improve braking performance and feedback.

The motorcycle also gets a 4.3-inch TFT instrument cluster.

Engine Remains Unchanged

Power still comes from the familiar 649cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine, producing 68hp and 64Nm. It is paired with a six-speed gearbox, and no engine changes are expected for the 2027 model.

The updated Ninja 650 will be offered in two colours:

  • Matte Grey
  • Lime Green

India Launch Details

Kawasaki currently sells the 2026 Ninja 650 in India at ₹7.91 lakh (ex-showroom). The company has not confirmed when the updated version will arrive or whether its price will change.

Although the UK price remains unchanged, Indian pricing will depend on Kawasaki’s local launch plans.

Final Take

The 2027 Ninja 650 focuses on improving its front-end hardware rather than increasing engine performance. The USD fork and upgraded front callipers are the key changes, while the unchanged engine preserves the motorcycle’s existing performance figures. Its India launch timeline and pricing remain unconfirmed.
