Bigger Battery, More Range! Ather Energy Launches New 450S

Ather Energy Limited has launched a new 450S variant with a larger 3.7 kWh battery pack. With this upgrade the new model offers an impressive IDC range of 161 km. This new model strengthens the performance-focused 450 Series and gives riders more choice, especially those who want both sporty performance and longer range at a more accessible price.

Performance and Design

The new 450S 3.7 kWh keeps the sharp, sporty design and premium build quality that define the 450 series. Even with the bigger battery, the scooter maintains Ather’s high engineering standards. The 5.4 kW motor delivers 22 Nm of torque, accelerates from 0-40 km/h in 3.9 seconds, and reaches a top speed of 90 km/h. Riders can choose from four ride modes—Smart Eco, Eco, Ride, and Sport—to balance range and performance.

Advanced Features

The 450S 3.7 kWh comes with a 7-inch DeepView™ Display, Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, and automatic brightness adjustment. Safety and convenience features include AutoHold™, Fall Safe, Emergency Stop Signal, auto indicator cut-off, Tow & Theft Alerts, Find My Scooter, and Amazon Alexa Skills (with AtherStackTM Pro). The scooter supports over-the-air (OTA) updates and connects to Ather’s fast-charging network, Ather Grid, with over 3,300 charging points nationwide. Home charging from 0-80% takes just 4 hours and 30 minutes.

Ownership and Support

Ather offers the ‘Ather Eight70’ warranty program for the 450S, covering 8 years or 80,000 km (whichever comes first) and guaranteeing at least 70% battery health. Customers can access Ather’s growing network of experience centers for test rides, purchases, and after-sales service.

Availability and Price

Bookings for the 450S 3.7 kWh are now open across India, both online and at Ather’s retail outlets. Deliveries will start from August 2025. The scooter is priced at INR 148,047 (ex-showroom) in Delhi, INR 148,258 in Mumbai, INR 145,999 in Bengaluru, and INR 147,312 in Chennai, making it a strong contender in the extended-range electric scooter segment.
