Rizta Spreading Wings! Ather Energy Launches Family Scooter in Nepal

Ather Energy Limited, India’s leading electric two-wheeler manufacturer, has launched its popular family scooter, the Ather Rizta, in Nepal. This move marks the next step in Ather’s international expansion, as the company aims to strengthen its network and offer a wider range of products to meet the needs of diverse customers.

Ather first entered Nepal in November 2023 with the Ather 450 series and recently introduced the 2025 Ather 450 in the region. Since then, Ather has opened 9 Experience Centres and 6 Service Centres across Nepal, operated by its national distributor, Vaidya Energy Pvt. Ltd. To support EV adoption, Ather has also installed 22 Ather Grid fast chargers throughout the country, making EV ownership more convenient and reliable.

Ravneet Singh Phokela, Chief Business Officer at Ather Energy, said, “Nepal was our first international market, and we have seen strong consumer interest in the Ather 450 series. To meet growing demand, we have expanded our presence across the country. With the launch of the Rizta, we are reaching out to family buyers who value comfort and convenience in their daily rides. We hope the Rizta will receive the same positive response as the 450 series.”

The Ather Rizta is designed for families, featuring a large, comfortable seat and 56 liters of storage space—including 34 liters under the seat and an optional 22-liter frunk accessory. The spacious floorboard provides ample legroom for riders. Safety features like SkidControl™ enhance rider security, while the 7-inch TFT display dashboard offers a connected experience with Google Maps navigation, Bluetooth music, and call control, all powered by AtherStackTM Pro.

Ather’s international journey began in Nepal in November 2023, followed by an entry into Sri Lanka in December 2024, where the company now operates 19 Experience Centres and 9 Service Centres. In India, Ather has built a strong network with 446 Experience Centres and nearly 4,000 Ather Grid fast chargers and Neighbourhood chargers nationwide.

With the launch of the Rizta in Nepal, Ather Energy continues to expand its global footprint and bring innovative electric mobility solutions to more customers.
