Audi has updated its electric SUV, the Audi Q4 e-tron, bringing improvements that focus on everyday usability rather than just headline changes.

The update adds more range, faster charging and a much more tech-heavy interior, making the Q4 e-tron a more complete package than before.
More Range and Faster Charging
One of the biggest updates is under the skin.
Audi has improved efficiency and charging speeds, which should make a real difference in daily use.
- Up to 592 km range on some variants
- 10 to 80 per cent charge in about 27 minutes
- Up to 185 km range added in just 10 minutes
There are also improvements to the motor and electronics, which help improve efficiency by around 10 per cent.
New Feature: Your Car Can Power Your Home
The Q4 e-tron now supports bidirectional charging, a first for Audi.
This means:
- You can power external devices directly from the car
- In some markets, it can even act as a home energy source
It can charge things like e-bikes or appliances, and also store energy from solar panels and feed it back to your home.
Interior Feels More Advanced
Inside, the biggest changes are in the tech.

The cabin now feels more digital and modern.
- 11.9-inch driver display
- 12.8-inch touchscreen
- Optional 12-inch passenger display
- New infotainment system with app support
- Voice assistant with AI and ChatGPT integration
- Ambient lighting and redesigned centre console
There are also practical touches like wireless charging pads and more storage spaces.
Design Tweaks Outside
On the outside, the design has been updated, but not drastically changed.
- Sharper front styling
- New lighting signatures
- Digital LED daytime running lights
- Updated OLED rear lights
The car still keeps its familiar Q4 e-tron look, but now feels a bit more modern.
More Practical Than Before
Audi has also improved everyday usability.
- Boot space of 515 litres
- Up to 1,487 litres with seats folded
- Increased towing capacity up to 1,800 kg
It continues to be positioned as a practical family EV.
Safety and Driver Assistance
The updated Q4 e-tron adds more driver assistance features.
- Adaptive cruise control
- Lane assist with emergency support
- Traffic sign recognition
- Driver monitoring and fatigue warning
- Advanced parking assist features
Some versions can even assist with lane changes at higher speeds.
India Context
There’s no confirmation yet, but the Audi Q4 e-tron could fit well in India as a more accessible option below the Audi Q8 e-tron. With better range and faster charging, it could appeal to buyers looking to step into Audi’s EV lineup.
