Meet the Bugatti Brouillard: The Ultimate One-Off Green Machine

When someone has more money than they know what to do with, buying a one-of-a-kind Bugatti is a good way to spend it. The Bugatti Brouillard is a perfect example. It’s probably the greenest car ever made, both inside and out.

The Brouillard has a two-tone green body, and air ducts behind its glass roof are marked with “W16,” showing off the powerful engine behind the seats. Bugatti doesn’t mention the word “Chiron” in their press release, but they do say the car uses Bugatti’s famous W16 quad-turbo engine—so it’s based on the Chiron.

Inside, the car is even more special. The seats, armrests, and dashboard are covered in pistachio-green leather. Olive-colored carbon fiber runs through the cabin, and tartan fabric appears on the doors, steering wheel, and seat inserts. Even if you don’t like green, you have to admire how much effort Bugatti put into the color theme.

The car also has a horse theme. The owner, a big Bugatti fan, wanted to honor Ettore Bugatti’s love of horses. The car is named after Brouillard, Ettore’s favorite horse, and you can see horse-inspired embroidery on the doors and seats. The gear shifter is made from machined aluminum and has a glass insert with a tiny sculpture of Brouillard inside.

The Bugatti Brouillard is the first car from Bugatti’s new Solitaire program. While most people think of Solitaire as a card game, for Bugatti, it means making ultra-personalized cars for their clients. Bugatti says each Solitaire car will be unique, with no compromises on performance, quality, or design.

Bugatti will only make two Solitaire cars each year, using existing Bugatti chassis and engines. The real focus will be on custom bodywork and interior details, making each car truly one of a kind.
