Isuzu has introduced their first-ever fully electric commercial pick-up, the D-Max EV, at the 2025 Commercial Vehicle Show in Birmingham, UK. This marks a major milestone for the brand, as the D-Max EV becomes the first electric pick-up truck in Europe to offer full commercial-grade capabilities and qualities.
Tough Built: Based on Isuzu’s award-winning D-Max platform, the new electric version keeps the same strong and rugged design while being re-engineered with a modern electric drivetrain.

Battery, Power & Performance: The D-Max EV gets a 66.9 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, which delivers a WLTP range of 263 km on a single charge. It features dual electric motors (one on each axle), producing a combined 140 kW of power and 325 Nm of torque.
The EV Pick-up can clock 0 to 100 km/h in 10.1 seconds and has a top speed of over 80 mph (around 130 km/h). It also includes features like Multi-level regenerative braking, Eco Mode to extend driving range, Water wading depth up to 600 mm, Ground clearance of 210 mm, Approach and departure angles of 30.5° and 24.2° for confident off-road usage.
Variants and Styling: The new D-Max EV will come in two premium trim levels, available in both Extended Cab and Double Cab formats. These trims are the electric versions of the most popular DL40 and V-Cross diesel variants, offering a mix of work-ready performance and interior comfort.
At the launch event, the D-Max EV was displayed in a special Norwegian Blue color shade. However, the full colour options for the UK market will be revealed later. D-Max EV’s Indian launch has not been clarified yet by Isuzu.
