Last year, Maruti Suzuki launched the new-generation Dzire with lots of upgrades and changes both inside and outside. The Compact Sedan got much appreciated by Customers for its better features and improved safety. One of the biggest changes in the new model was the new Z12E 1.2L 3-cylinder petrol engine, which replaced the older 4 -cylinder K-series engine.
Now, Suzuki has introduced this updated Dzire in the Philippines also and here it comes with some changes that might be offered in India soon. The Philippines version now includes a smart hybrid system paired with a CVT (automatic) gearbox, while in India, it’s currently offered with an AMT as the automatic option.
The 2025 Dzire produces 80 bhp and 112 Nm of torque. The hybrid system includes a small 12V battery and a motor that adds 2.93 bhp, which helps improve fuel efficiency and gives a slight torque boost during driving.
This hybrid setup makes the Dzire not only more efficient but also smoother to drive, and it could be a welcome upgrade for Indian customers if Maruti decides to offer it here in the future.
