Hyundai Introduces 60% Assured Buyback Programme for Creta Electric

Hyundai Motor India has introduced a new Assured Buyback Programme for the Creta Electric, offering customers 60% assured buyback value for up to three years or 45,000 km, whichever comes first. The initiative aims to address resale value concerns and strengthen customer confidence in EV ownership.

Buyback scheme to boost EV confidence

Hyundai says the programme has been introduced to remove one of the biggest hurdles for EV buyers, uncertainty around long-term resale value.

Commenting on the announcement, Tarun Garg, Managing Director & CEO, Hyundai Motor India, said the company is focused on building customer confidence alongside advancing EV technology. He added that the assured buyback programme reflects Hyundai’s confidence in the Creta Electric’s quality, reliability and long-term value.

Part of Hyundai’s growing EV ecosystem

The buyback programme joins Hyundai’s expanding electric mobility ecosystem, which already includes:

  • Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS)
  • Nationwide charging network
  • Connected digital services
  • Future EV product roadmap

The company says these initiatives are aimed at making EV ownership more convenient and accessible.

Creta Electric highlights

The Hyundai Creta Electric is offered with 42 kWh and 51.4 kWh battery packs.

Key highlights include:

  • Up to 510 km ARAI-certified range (51.4 kWh)
  • Up to 420 km ARAI-certified range (42 kWh)
  • 10-80% DC fast charging in 39 minutes
  • Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) functionality
  • Level 2 ADAS
  • Digital Key
  • 0-100 km/h in 7.9 seconds (Long Range variant)

Battery subscription and charging network

Hyundai recently introduced its Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model for the Creta Electric, with prices starting from ₹10.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Customers can opt for battery financing with EMIs starting at ₹3.9 per kilometre, helping reduce the initial purchase cost.

The company is also expanding its charging infrastructure. Through the myHyundai app, users can access more than 30,000 charging points across India. Hyundai currently operates 183 DC fast chargers across 105 cities and plans to increase this to 600 DC fast charging stations by 2030.
