Hyundai Motor India Names Para Archer Sheetal Devi as Brand Ambassador

Hyundai Motor India has appointed World No. 1 para archer and Arjuna Awardee Sheetal Devi as its new brand ambassador. The partnership will focus on purpose-led marketing campaigns, accessibility programmes, inclusion initiatives and social-impact communication under Hyundai’s global vision of “Progress for Humanity.”

Sheetal Devi, 19, is the current Women’s Compound Para Archery World Champion, a Paralympic medalist and two-time world-record holder. She has also won three Asian Games medals and became the first Indian para-archer to be selected for an able-bodied national team.

A Partnership Built Around Inclusion

Hyundai has been associated with Sheetal since 2023 through its Samarth by Hyundai initiative. The company says the new partnership will build on that association by promoting accessibility, representation and equal opportunities.

Sheetal, who hails from Kishtwar in Jammu & Kashmir, has emerged as one of India’s prominent para-athletes, with her sporting achievements also helping raise the profile of para sports in the country.

Sheetal Devi’s Achievements

As of September 9, 2026, Sheetal Devi holds several major distinctions:

  • World No. 1 in Women’s Compound Para Archery
  • Current World Champion, following her 2025 World Archery Para Championships gold in Gwangju
  • Arjuna Awardee
  • Paralympic medalist
  • Two-time world record holder
  • Three Asian Games medals
  • First Indian para-archer selected for an able-bodied national team

Focus on Accessibility

Through the partnership, Hyundai and Sheetal Devi will collaborate on campaigns and community initiatives to encourage conversations about inclusion, accessibility, and equal opportunity.

Hyundai says the association reflects a shared commitment to resilience and breaking barriers, using Sheetal’s journey to highlight the role of determination and opportunity in achieving sporting and personal goals.
