INEOS has unveiled the Grenadier Helmsman, a nautical-themed special edition of its rugged 4×4. Set to join the brand’s 2027 lineup, the Helmsman is the first in a planned series of special editions inspired by the elements. It will be available in both Station Wagon and Quartermaster pickup body styles.

Nautical-Inspired Design
The Helmsman gets three exterior colour options: Eldoret Blue, Scottish White and metallic Whiteout Blue, previously reserved for INEOS’s Arcane Works models. Buyers can pair these with an Inky Black or Scottish White roof.
Key exterior highlights include:
- Dark Exterior Pack with a matte-black grille, side plates, and roof rails.
- 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels and privacy glass.
- An access ladder for the Station Wagon or a load bay for the Quartermaster.
- Dedicated Helmsman badging and a tow hitch for carrying small boats or kayaks.
Premium Cabin Features
Inside, the special edition introduces oyster-coloured seat inserts for the first time in the Grenadier range. Heated leather seats, carpet mats and heavy-duty rubber flooring combine comfort with practicality.

The cabin also gets INEOS’s Smooth Pack, which adds ambient lighting and auxiliary power outlets.
BMW-Sourced Six-Cylinder Power
There are no mechanical changes for the Helmsman. It continues with a 3.0-litre turbocharged BMW inline-six engine producing 282 hp and 450 Nm of torque. An eight-speed ZF automatic gearbox sends power to all four wheels.
Price and Availability
The Grenadier Helmsman is expected to arrive as part of the 2027 lineup, with an estimated starting price of around $95,000. INEOS has yet to announce production numbers or reveal which special edition will follow.

Final Take
The Helmsman adds a distinctive nautical theme to the Grenadier without changing its mechanical package. With exclusive colours, contrasting trim and a more premium cabin, it offers a fresh take on INEOS’s utilitarian 4×4.
