Jaguar has unveiled the new Type 01, an all-electric four-door GT that the company describes as its most technically advanced, powerful and aerodynamic model yet. The car has been designed, engineered, and will be built in Britain.

Production is scheduled to begin in 2027 at JLR’s Solihull plant, with its electric drive units and battery packs produced in Wolverhampton and body panels manufactured in Halewood.
Up to 1,015hp
The Type 01 is based on Jaguar’s new dedicated Jaguar Electric Architecture (JEA).
- Power: Up to 1,015hp
- Torque: 1,365Nm
- 0-100km/h: 3.2 seconds
- Battery: 118kWh usable
- Architecture: 850V
- Range: Up to 644km EPA-estimated
- Highway range: Up to 515km at 120km/h
Fast Charging
The Type 01 supports 350kW DC rapid charging, allowing up to 321km of range to be added in 13 minutes, according to Jaguar.
The company says charging times can vary depending on battery temperature, condition, charge level, and the charging facility.
Jaguar’s Electric Future
The Type 01 is the first production Jaguar to use the dedicated JEA platform. The name refers to zero tailpipe emissions and the first model of a new generation.
