Ready to Conquer! Kia India Opens Bookings for Carens Clavis EV

Kia India has started the bookings for its first made-in-India 7-seater electric vehicle, the Carens Clavis EV, from July 22, 2025. This new electric car is designed for Indian families who want space, style, and smart features, all at an affordable and pocket friendly price.

Now, anyone interested can book the Carens Clavis EV by visiting the Kia India website or any Kia dealership across the country. The booking amount is set at ₹25,000.

Mr. Joonsu Cho, Chief Sales Officer at Kia India, shared his excitement about the launch. He said the Carens Clavis EV is a big step for Kia in making electric cars more accessible to everyone in India. He highlighted that this 7-seater EV is built with Indian customers in mind, offering great value, smart technology, and a strong support network.

The Carens Clavis EV stands out with its modern design and spacious, premium cabin. It follows Kia’s global design philosophy, “Opposites United,” blending innovation with everyday practicality. The car is available in four variants—HTK Plus, HTX, HTX ER, and HTX Plus ER—and comes in six colors: Glacier White Pearl, Gravity Gray, Aurora Black Pearl, Pewter Olive, Imperial Blue, and Ivory Silver Matte.

Under the hood, the Carens Clavis EV offers two battery options. The 42kWh battery gives a certified range of 404 km, while the 51.4kWh battery can go up to 490 km on a single charge. Fast charging is easy—using a 100kW DC charger, the battery can go from 10% to 80% in just 39 minutes. The electric motors deliver strong performance, with options for 126kW and 99kW output, and 255Nm of torque. Drivers can also use paddle shifters to adjust the regenerative braking in four levels.

Safety is a top priority for Kia. The Carens Clavis EV comes with Level 2 ADAS, offering 20 autonomous features, and 18 high-safety features to protect everyone on board. The car also boasts 90 connected features, including smartphone integration, smart navigation, and remote controls.

Inside, the Carens Clavis EV feels modern and comfortable. It features a large 26.62-inch dual panoramic display for both infotainment and driving information. Other highlights include a smart switch for infotainment and temperature control, 64-color ambient lighting, one-touch electric tumble for the second-row seats, Boss Mode for extra comfort, and a dual-pane panoramic sunroof that fills the cabin with natural light.
