Kia India has announced a big milestone for its new Carens Clavis and Carens Clavis EV models, with over 21,000 bookings in just four months since launch. This strong demand shows Kia’s growing popularity in India and its success in offering cars that appeal to both traditional and electric vehicle buyers.
The Carens Clavis is designed for modern Indian families who want adventure, comfort, and style in one car. It combines the strength of an SUV, the comfort of an MPV, and the practicality of a family car. Features like sliding and reclining second-row seats, one-touch electric tumble for easy third-row access, and a segment-first Boss Mode make it very convenient for families. The cabin is packed with premium features, including dual 12.3-inch panoramic displays, a Bose 8-speaker system, 64-colour ambient lighting, a dual dashcam, and a climate control/infotainment swap switch.
The Carens Clavis EV is Kia’s first electric vehicle made in India. It offers a spacious design, smart features, and flexible use for daily commutes or long trips. The EV has a powerful 171 PS motor and 255 Nm of torque. It comes in two battery options:
The EV supports fast charging, going from 10% to 80% in just 39 minutes with a 100 kW DC charger. It also features a 67.62 cm dual panoramic display, 90 connected car features, and intuitive controls for a seamless driving experience.
Both the ICE and EV versions of the Carens Clavis come with Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), offering over 20 autonomous safety features. The cars also include 18 advanced passive safety features, such as six airbags, Electronic Stability Control, Rear Occupant Alert, and a 360° surround view monitor.
Mr. Joonsu Cho, Chief Sales Officer at Kia India, said, “We are thrilled with the response to the Carens Clavis and Clavis EV. This shows the trust customers have in Kia and our commitment to innovation, safety, and comfort.”
