Lexus India Introduces 8-Year / 2 Lakh km Warranty Across Lineup

Lexus has announced a major update for customers in India, introducing an 8-year / 200,000 km warranty for all new vehicles sold from April 1, 2026.

With this, Lexus says it has become the first luxury carmaker in India to offer such warranty coverage.

What’s New

The updated warranty applies across the entire Lexus range in India and comes at no additional cost.

Key highlights:

  • 8-year warranty coverage
  • Up to 2,00,000 km coverage
  • Applicable to all new Lexus vehicles sold from April 1, 2026
  • Offered without extra cost

The move is aimed at strengthening long-term ownership confidence, especially in the luxury segment, where after-sales support matters as much as the product itself.

Focus on Ownership Experience

Lexus says the update is part of its broader focus on improving the ownership experience, something the brand has emphasised in India since it entered the market in 2017.

Along with the warranty, buyers will also have access to support and ownership programs, including:

  • Finance solutions
  • Lexus Luxury Care options
  • Insurance support
  • Roadside assistance

Taken together, the idea seems to be offering a more complete ownership package, not just a longer warranty.

Lexus Cars Currently on Sale in India

Alongside the new warranty announcement, Lexus currently sells a focused but premium range in India, spanning sedans, SUVs and MPVs. Current ex-showroom prices start from around ₹62.65 lakh and go up to ₹2.91 crore.

Current lineup includes:

  • Lexus ES – ₹62.65 lakh to ₹68.23 lakh
  • Lexus NX – ₹66.59 lakh to ₹73.40 lakh
  • Lexus RX – ₹96.13 lakh to ₹1.18 crore
  • Lexus LM – ₹2.15 crore to ₹2.69 crore
  • Lexus LX – ₹2.80 crore to ₹2.91 crore

Conclusion

This may not be a product launch, but it is still a significant move. A longer warranty may not grab headlines like a new car does, but for owners, it can matter just as much. And in that sense, this could be one of Lexus India’s more meaningful announcements.
