Mahindra & Mahindra, India’s top SUV maker, and Dolby Laboratories have announced that the new Mahindra XUV 3XO REVX A is the world’s first SUV under ₹12 lakh (ex-showroom) to feature Dolby Atmos. This partnership brings a premium, cinema-like audio experience to more affordable cars, making high-quality sound accessible to a wider range of Indian customers.
Dolby Atmos is an advanced audio technology originally made for cinemas. It creates a 3D sound experience, making music and entertainment feel more immersive and real. In the car, Dolby Atmos lets drivers and passengers hear music with more detail, clarity, and depth, turning every drive into a special experience.
All these variants come with a six-speaker system, specially tuned for the XUV 3XO’s cabin. The AX7L adds a subwoofer for a richer, more powerful sound. These models will be available to customers from mid-September.
R Velusamy, President of Automotive Business at Mahindra, said the company wants to make advanced features like Dolby Atmos available to more people, not just luxury car buyers. Karan Grover from Dolby added that this partnership will let more Indian drivers enjoy amazing sound on every journey.
The XUV 3XO’s infotainment system has Gaana streaming built in, so users can listen to Dolby Atmos Music anytime, making every trip more enjoyable.
The XUV 3XO is the fourth Mahindra vehicle series to offer Dolby Atmos, after the BE 6, XEV 9e, and Thar ROXX.
