Maruti Suzuki Fronx Becomes India’s Fastest Exported SUV

Maruti Suzuki India Limited has hit a major export milestone — its compact SUV Fronx has become the fastest SUV from India to reach 1 lakh exports, achieving this in just 25 months since its launch.

The Fronx, launched in April 2023, is manufactured exclusively at Maruti Suzuki’s advanced Gujarat plant. Within the same year of its Indian debut, Maruti began exporting the Fronx to key global markets including Latin America, the Middle East, and Africa.

• Maruti Suzuki has been the number 1 passenger vehicle exporter from India for 4 years in a row.
  • In Q1 of FY 2025-26 alone, it exported over 96,000 vehicles, accounting for 47% of India’s total PV exports—the highest ever.
• Maruti currently exports 17 models to nearly 100 countries, including South Africa, Japan, and Saudi Arabia.

FY 2024-25 Export Highlights:

Maruti Suzuki exported over 3.3 lakh vehicles – the highest ever in a financial year, marking a 17.5% growth over the previous year.
