Royal Enfield Himalayan Mana Black Edition Launched: Factory-Fitted Adventure Inspired by Mana Pass

Mana Pass Inspiration and Colour Scheme

Royal Enfield unveiled the Himalayan Mana Black Edition at EICMA 2025 in Milan, a new variant of its popular adventure motorcycle. The Mana Black pays homage to the formidable Mana Pass, a remote Himalayan route that climbs to a staggering 5,632 metres above sea level. Channelling the rugged spirit of the region, the motorcycle features a full blackout Stealth Black colourway, with matte details and grey graphics evocative of the harsh mountain landscape.

Factory-Fitted Adventure Kit

A defining feature of the Mana Black Edition is the inclusion of a factory-fitted Rally kit, making the bike off-road-ready straight from the showroom. Notable additions include Black Rally hand guards with aluminium bracing for protection, a high-set beak-style rally mudguard, and a bench-style rally seat. The tail section has been redesigned with flared rally panels, and the seat height is raised to 860mm for better movement and handling off-road. There’s also a sleeker number-plate holder and all-new tubeless wire-spoke wheels, a functional upgrade for durability and repair convenience over traditional spoked alloys.

Under the Skin: Engine and Chassis

Mechanically, the Mana Black Edition stays true to the new Himalayan 450’s Sherpa 450 platform. This liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, 452cc engine puts out approximately 40hp and 40Nm, paired to a six-speed gearbox with an assist and slipper clutch. The ride-by-wire throttle system ensures refined response, and the kerb weight drops by 1kg thanks to the new tail design, coming in at 195kg. Suspension duties are handled by Showa USD forks at the front, paired with a monoshock at the rear. Braking power is provided by a 320mm front disc and 270mm rear disc, while switchable ABS comes standard for adaptable stopping power on both city roads and rough tracks.

Tech, Ergonomics and Touring Ability

Beyond core engineering, the Himalayan Mana Black offers a colour TFT dashboard with Google Maps and Bluetooth connectivity for navigation and calls. Fuel tank capacity stands at 17 litres, supporting longer journeys. Riders have praised comfort on long trips, and the bike consistently scores well for its capability and reliability on both city and off-road terrain. Key dimensions include 230mm ground clearance, 1510mm wheelbase, 900mm width, and 1316mm overall height. The motorcycle is designed to handle payloads up to 199kg.

Pricing and Availability

The Himalayan Mana Black Edition will be available at an indicative price of €7,999 in the Netherlands, €7,049 in Belgium, €6,600 in Italy, and £6,400 in the UK, with bookings open across Europe. An India launch is likely timed for Motoverse 2025, Royal Enfield’s annual rider festival.

Royal Enfield’s Strategy

Royal Enfield’s move with factory-fitted, adventure-ready special editions aims squarely at riders who want a trustworthy motorcycle for real-world exploration without needing to buy aftermarket accessories separately. The Mana Black Edition sits at the intersection of global adventure motorcycling trends, rally-inspired looks, high-altitude performance, and genuine off-road kit included as standard.

Conclusion

The Royal Enfield Himalayan Mana Black Edition builds on the brand’s reputation for accessible, rugged adventure motorcycles. Its combination of Mana Pass inspiration, exclusive accessories, and practical upgrades offers European and Indian riders a credible, ready-for-anything adventure bike straight from the factory. set to appeal to both experienced travellers and those looking for a ticket into real-world exploration.
