The McLaren W1 is heading to Forza Horizon 6, bringing McLaren’s latest ‘1’ car into Microsoft Xbox’s flagship racing franchise. The hypercar will join the game as part of the British Automotive Series update.
Players who own the Car Pass downloadable content pack will receive access to the W1 from September 10, 2026, with the car being added directly to their in-game garage.
The addition further strengthens McLaren’s presence in the Forza franchise, where several of the brand’s most iconic cars are already available.
The W1 becomes one of 13 McLaren models available in the Forza catalogue. It also joins the McLaren Artura as one of the brand’s current production models that players can experience and customise in-game.
The W1 succeeds two of McLaren’s most significant cars, the F1 and P1. McLaren positions the new model as the latest expression of its performance philosophy, combining extreme power, advanced aerodynamics and lightweight chassis technology.
According to the company, the W1 has been developed to deliver high levels of dynamic performance and a stronger connection between the car and its driver.

The arrival of the W1 in Forza Horizon 6 is a smart way for McLaren to bring its newest flagship performance car to a younger, digitally engaged audience. More importantly, placing the W1 alongside the F1 and P1 reinforces its position as the next chapter in one of the automotive industry’s most iconic hypercar lineages.
