Mercedes-Benz has introduced a very special version of its iconic G-Class SUV in India, known as the G 63 Collector’s Edition. This exclusive model carries a price tag of Rs 4.30 crores (ex-showroom).
This particular G 63 is incredibly rare, with only 30 units being made available in India. Mercedes is offering it exclusively to customers who already own one of their high-end vehicles. This marks a significant first for Mercedes, as this G-Class features unique designs inspired by India, with the company hinting at more such India-focused models in the future. Its distinctiveness comes with a higher cost, making it Rs 66 lakh more expensive than the standard G 63.
The Collector’s Edition stands out with two unique paint colors inspired by India: Mid Green Magno, reminiscent of lush monsoon greenery, and Red Magno, drawing from India’s iron-rich soil. Externally, it also features a special ‘One of Thirty’ badge on the rear spare wheel cover, a distinct finish on the side protection strip, and striking gold 22-inch AMG alloy wheels.
Inside, the cabin boasts luxurious two-tone Nappa leather seats in Catalana Beige and Black, complemented by natural walnut wood trim. A truly personal touch allows buyers to have their own name engraved on the dashboard grab handle, ensuring each car is uniquely tailored to its owner.
Under the hood, this special G 63 retains the powerful 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, now enhanced with mild-hybrid technology. This setup delivers a massive 585 horsepower and 850Nm of torque, with an additional 22hp boost from the mild-hybrid system. Paired with a quick 9-speed automatic gearbox, power is sent to all four wheels, allowing the SUV to sprint from 0 to 100 kph in a mere 4.4 seconds.
For those interested in owning this blend of performance, luxury, and personalized exclusivity, bookings for the G 63 Collector’s Edition have already started. Deliveries are expected to begin in the final quarter of 2025.
