Mercedes-AMG GT 63 & GT 63 Pro ! Pure Performance Launched

The new Mercedes-AMG GT 63 and its more extreme version, the GT 63 Pro, have made a powerful return to the Indian market with a focus on performance, style, and advanced technology. These Sports Cars has been launched at ₹3.0 crore for the standard GT 63 and ₹3.65 crore for the Pro variant (ex-showroom), these performance coupes mark the second generation of the AMG GT, re-entering the market after a five-year break.

Under the hood, both models are equipped with a handcrafted 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine. The GT 63 produces 585 hp power and 800 Nm of torque, clocking 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds. The GT 63 Pro takes it even further with 612 hp power and 850 Nm of torque, managing the same acceleration in a quicker 3.1 seconds when equipped with high-performance tyres. Both versions use a 9-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox and feature Mercedes’ 4MATIC+ all-wheel-drive system, ensuring unbelievable traction and control.

The Pro variant adds track-oriented features such as improved engine cooling, bigger brakes, lighter wheels, and stickier tyres. Mercedes will also be offering special track experiences in India, giving owners a chance to fully explore the car’s dynamic abilities.

Design-wise, the new GT 63 is larger than its predecessor, with an increase in length, width, and height. It shares its foundation with the AMG SL roadster and uses lightweight materials including aluminium, magnesium, and carbon-fibre-reinforced plastics to keep it both strong and light. The result is a more rigid yet nimble machine. Suspension performance is enhanced by the standard-fit Active Ride Control and rear-axle steering, which allows for better handling at both high and low speeds.

Aesthetically, the GT 63 carries forward the design DNA of the first generation with a long bonnet, swooping roofline, and a sporty liftback rear. Updates like sleeker headlights, flush-fitting door handles, and a large active rear spoiler help give it a modern, aggressive edge. The Pro version stands out further with its unique wheels and a more prominent front bumper design. The spoiler actively adjusts its wing angles to improve high-speed stability using aerodynamic principles drawn from Formula 1.

Inside, the GT 63 blends performance with comfort and tech. The interior features a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and an 11.9-inch infotainment screen with AMG-specific displays showing everything from engine power to tyre pressure. It runs on Mercedes’ latest MBUX operating system and comes equipped with features like a Burmester sound system, ambient lighting, wireless charging, and ventilated Nappa leather sports seats. The new GT 63 now also offers a more practical 2+2 seating layout, unlike the older two-seater design. The rear seats can be folded down to expand the boot space to an impressive 675 litres.

The car also comes with several drive modes including Comfort, Sport, Sport+, Race, and even a Drift mode that sends all power to the rear wheels for maximum fun. This range of modes allows drivers to adjust the car’s behaviour to suit any situation, from daily drives to aggressive track sessions.
