Mercedes-Benz Records Best-Ever Sales in India

Mercedes-Benz has recorded its best-ever quarter in India, selling 5,422 cars in Q3 2026. This is a 6% increase over the 5,119 units sold in the same period last year.

The company also posted its highest-ever January-September sales, delivering 15,190 cars between January and September 2026. This is an 8% increase over the 14,132 units sold during the same period in 2025.

Strong Demand Across the Range

Mercedes-Benz saw growth across its main vehicle categories:

  • Top-End Luxury: +13%
  • Mercedes-AMG: +18%
  • BEV range: +16%
  • EQS Maybach SUV: +68%
  • Entry Luxury: +4%

The Core Luxury range, which includes the C-Class, E-Class, GLC and GLE, made up around 60% of total sales.

The Long Wheelbase E-Class continued to be the brand’s best-selling luxury car in India.

CLA BEV Gets 1,000+ Orders

The new CLA BEV has received more than 1,000 confirmed orders, with customers currently facing waiting periods of up to six months.

Mercedes-Benz says the electric sedan has been especially popular among younger luxury car buyers. The company’s overall electric vehicle sales also grew by 16% during the first nine months of 2026.

Strong Demand for Expensive Models

Mercedes-Benz’s Top-End Luxury models, including the S-Class, Mercedes-Maybach, GLS, G-Class, V-Class and AMG models, accounted for more than 25% of its total sales.

The AMG G 63 recorded its highest-ever monthly sales despite having a long waiting period. Mercedes-Benz’s MANUFAKTUR personalisation programme also accounted for around 75% of Top-End Luxury sales.

More New Models Coming

Mercedes-Benz will start deliveries of the new Electrified S-Class from mid-October. The top-spec MANUFAKTUR Edition is already sold out for the year.

The new GLC BEV will make its India debut on November 4, 2026.
