Mercedes-Maybach has launched the S 680 Edition Emerald Isle, a special luxury sedan inspired by the beautiful California Central Coast. Only 25 of these exclusive cars will be available in the U.S., arriving at dealerships in fall 2025.
The car’s unique look comes from the Monterey cypress trees and white sand beaches of Pebble Beach. It features a two-tone paint job—Mid Ireland Green Metallic and Moonlight White Metallic—applied with great care at the Mercedes MANUFAKTUR facility in Germany. Chrome accents and 21-inch Maybach Champagne Flute wheels add to its elegant style.
Inside, the S 680 Edition Emerald Isle is all about craftsmanship. The cabin is covered in hand-stitched Light Brown Nappa leather, including the seats, dashboard, doors, and even the steering wheel and rear seat pillows. The headliner is made from black Nappa leather with a diamond pattern, and the trim is finished in Black Piano Lacquer with flowing lines. Special badges and floral designs remind owners of the car’s exclusivity, and the floor mats are finished with leather piping and the Maybach logo.
The car comes loaded with luxury features, including the Executive Rear Seat Package Plus, a four-seat layout, a rear refrigerator, and Maybach champagne flutes. Every detail is designed for maximum comfort and elegance.
Mercedes-Maybach worked with artisans to create a special fragrance for the car’s air system, with scents of cedar wood, cypress, and sea salt—bringing the California coast inside the cabin. Each car also comes with a handcrafted gift box in matching leather, holding two keys and an extra bottle of the exclusive fragrance.
Under the hood, the S 680 Edition Emerald Isle has a handcrafted 6.0-liter V12 biturbo engine with 621 hp and 664 lb-ft of torque. It uses a 9-speed automatic transmission and 4MATIC all-wheel drive for smooth, powerful driving. The AIRMATIC air suspension ensures a comfortable ride.
