MG Cyberster: A Dream Roadster for the Electric Era

MG SELECT, the premium division of JSW MG Motor India, has just launched the much awaited MG Cyberster, an all-electric roadster designed to stir emotions and redefine what performance looks like in the electric age.

This isn’t just another EV. It’s MG’s fastest car ever, combining classic open-top charm with futuristic power and design. Prices start at ₹72.49 lakh for those who pre-reserved, and ₹74.99 lakh for fresh bookings — and that includes chargers and standard installation.

Built for the Heart and the Future

Inspired by the legendary MGB roadsters of the past, the Cyberster brings that nostalgic spirit back — only this time with electric scissor doors, a sleek silhouette, and a fully electric soul. From every angle, it looks like it’s moving, even when standing still. The bold front grille, sharp LED lighting, and soft-top roof all scream attention, while the sculpted rear, active aerodynamics, and 20-inch alloy wheels show it’s built to perform too.

Inside, it’s a driver’s delight — a cockpit-like setup with three futuristic digital displays, a 10.25-inch central touchscreen, and two side panels that provide real-time vehicle info and controls. There’s also dual-zone climate control, regenerative braking paddle shifters, and vegan leather upholstery for a premium, eco-friendly feel. And yes, the BOSE® sound system makes every drive sound as good as it feels.

Performance That Thrills

Under the hood (or rather, beneath the sleek body), the Cyberster features a dual-motor AWD setup pushing out a whopping 510 PS and 725 Nm of torque. It rockets from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds with Launch Control, powered by a 77 kWh ultra-slim battery that offers a certified range of 580 km (MIDC).

This isn’t just speed — it’s precision too. The car was fine-tuned by ex-F1 engineer Marco Fainello, with double wishbone suspension, perfect 50:50 weight distribution, and Brembo brakes that bring it to a stop from 100 km/h in just 33 meters.

Safety You Can Count On

MG didn’t compromise on safety. The Cyberster’s design includes a high-strength structure, best-in-class rollover resistance, and a full suite of Level 2 ADAS features, including Driver Monitoring, multiple airbags, electronic stability, and differential lock — ensuring peace of mind with every ride.

Expressive Style and Custom Choices

Buyers can pick from four exciting dual-tone combinations:

  • Nuclear Yellow with Black Roof
  • Flare Red with Black Roof
  • Andes Grey with Red Roof
  • Modern Beige with Red Roof

Booking and Delivery Details

Bookings are now open at www.mgselect.co.in, with deliveries beginning August 10, 2025. Customers can also visit MG SELECT Experience Centres in 13 cities across India to explore the Cyberster in person.

The MG Cyberster is more than a car — it’s a modern-day dream machine for those who once imagined themselves behind the wheel of a classic roadster, now brought to life in electric form. Fast, conscious, and unforgettable.
