Perfect & Safe! Tata Harrier EV Bags 5-Star Safety Rating in Bharat NCAP Test

The Tata Harrier EV, the newest from Tata’s stable has proven its strength and safety by securing a 5-star rating in the Bharat New Car Assessment Program (BNCAP) crash tests. Tested on the Empowered 75 and Empowered 75 AWD variants with the larger battery pack, the rating applies to all Harrier EV variants. Let’s checkout its Performance in the Safety Tests.

In the adult occupant protection test, the Harrier EV scored a full 32 out of 32 points, making it one of the safest electric SUVs in India right now. For child occupant protection, it earned 45 out of 49 points, showcasing excellent safety for younger passengers on board.

Frontal Offset Deformable Barrier Test:

  • 16/16 points
  • “Good” protection for driver and front passenger, especially the chest and lower legs.

Side Movable Deformable Barrier Test:

  • 16/16 points
  • “Good” protection for head, abdomen, chest, and pelvis.

Side Pole Impact Test:

  • Received an “OK” rating.

Child Safety Performance:

In the Child Restraint System (CRS) and dynamic impact tests, the Harrier EV scored:

  • 24/24 points for dynamic performance
  • 12/12 points for CRS installation
  • 9/13 points in the vehicle assessment portion

Along with these the Tata Harrier EV comes fully loaded with safety equipment, including:

  • 7 airbags
  • ABS with EBD
  • Electronic Stability Control (ESC)
  • Roll-over mitigation
  • Hill hold assist
  • 3-point seatbelts with reminders for all seats
  • ISOFIX child seat mounts

With this 5-star rating, the Tata Harrier EV stands tall as one of the safest electric SUVs on Indian roads keeping the Tata Legacy.
