Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. presented its vision for the future of smart and safe mobility at its special event, Snapdragon for India: Auto Day. Shri Nitin Gadkari, Minister of Road Transport and Highways, attended as Chief Guest, showing strong government support for advanced automotive technology in India.
The event brought together top Indian automakers, technology experts, partners, and policymakers. Qualcomm highlighted its key role in shaping India’s mobility future with its Snapdragon® Digital Chassis™ solutions. These include the Snapdragon® Cockpit, Snapdragon Ride™, Snapdragon Ride™ Flex, Snapdragon Auto Connectivity, and Snapdragon Car-to-Cloud services—all designed for India’s unique driving needs.
Qualcomm’s automotive platforms now power over 350 million vehicles worldwide. In India, almost every major automaker uses Qualcomm’s technology. The company has been active in India for over 10 years, with engineering teams in Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai, and Gurgaon. These teams support everything from telematics and digital cockpits to ADAS, two-wheelers, and connected services.
Nakul Duggal, Group GM at Qualcomm Technologies, said, “We are proud of our progress in India’s automotive industry. Our Snapdragon Digital Chassis portfolio sets new standards for safety and smart mobility. We are committed to advancing automotive intelligence and transforming the driving experience for Indian consumers.”
Savi Soin, President of Qualcomm India, added, “With our ‘Make from India, For India, and For the World’ approach, Snapdragon platforms are enabling the next generation of connected, smarter, and safer vehicles. Our partnerships with Indian automakers and suppliers are helping India lead the mobility revolution.”
India’s automotive sector is quickly evolving with digital cockpits and connected vehicle technology. Qualcomm is working with Maruti Suzuki on connected car features, with Mahindra on immersive in-cabin experiences, and with Spark Minda on smart cockpit solutions. These partnerships are driving innovation in India’s auto industry.
India’s two-wheeler market is also changing fast. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Digital Chassis solutions are powering new features in Hero MotoCorp bikes, Ultraviolette’s high-performance electric bikes, Royal Enfield’s connected clusters, and Pricol’s next-gen telematics. These collaborations bring real-time connectivity, better safety, and smarter dashboards to Indian riders.
At the event, will.i.am, tech entrepreneur and founder of FYI.AI, joined Qualcomm leaders to showcase FYI RAiDiO and Melodic Drive features. Demonstrated in Mahindra’s luxury electric vehicles, these features use Snapdragon technology to turn the car into a virtual musical instrument, creating music based on the driver’s movements in real time.
Attendees saw the latest Snapdragon Digital Chassis-powered solutions, including the first demonstration of Snapdragon Ride in India. Qualcomm has partnered with companies like Autolink, Bosch, Desay, Harman, Mobis, Tata Elxsi, Valeo, Visteon, and ZF to bring safer and smarter driving to Indian roads.
India’s goal to lead the global connected mobility movement is becoming a reality, thanks to these partnerships and innovations. Qualcomm is helping unite the automotive value chain, making India a global hub for automotive technology.
With these efforts, Qualcomm is helping drive the future of smart, safe, and connected mobility in India.
