Range Rover Previews All-New GT as Fifth Member of its Lineup

Range Rover has offered the first official look at the upcoming Range Rover GT, confirming it as the fifth model in the brand’s portfolio. Designed as a luxury grand tourer, the new model combines long-distance comfort with Range Rover’s signature all-terrain capability and will debut as the brand’s first vehicle built on the new EMA architecture.

Prototype vehicles are currently undergoing final validation testing ahead of the model’s full reveal later this year.

A new take on the grand tourer

Range Rover says the GT has been developed to redefine the grand touring segment by combining car-like driving dynamics with the versatility expected from the brand.

According to the company, the GT will offer:

• Coupe-inspired proportions
• Full Range Rover all-terrain capability

Range Rover has also previewed the cabin, which follows a minimalist design philosophy focused on reducing visual and acoustic clutter.

• Dedicated digital driver display replacing the traditional instrument cluster
• Full-width concealed air vents
• Woven textile dashboard trim with integrated hidden speakers
• Simplified controls with expanded voice and conversational functions
• Class-leading second-row legroom

The cabin has been designed as a calm, uncluttered space with technology seamlessly integrated into the architecture rather than dominating it.

First EV on the EMA platform

The Range Rover GT will become the first all-electric Range Rover to use the company’s new Electrified Modular Architecture (EMA).

Key details include:

• Battery electric vehicle (BEV) at launch
• Hybrid (HEV) variant planned later in the product lifecycle
• Production at JLR’s Halewood plant in the UK
• Built alongside internal combustion and hybrid models

Prototype testing underway

Development vehicles are currently undergoing final road testing wearing a bespoke camouflage wrap inspired by the landscape around Gaydon, home to Range Rover’s design and engineering teams.

The camouflage combines topographic contour graphics with gold accents, reflecting both the vehicle’s grand touring character and its advanced technology.
