Royal Enfield Classic 650 125th Anniversary Edition Launched at ₹4.26 Lakh

Royal Enfield has introduced the 125th Anniversary Edition Hypershift Classic 650 in India, celebrating 125 years of the brand’s motorcycling heritage. Priced at ₹4,25,589 (ex-showroom), the limited-edition motorcycle will be restricted to just 125 units per key region globally.

Registrations opened on October 16 at 2 PM and will remain open until the sale day on October 28, 2026. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in November.

A Colour-Changing Tribute

The anniversary edition retains the Classic 650’s signature teardrop fuel tank and nacelle headlamp but gets a special finish inspired by Royal Enfield’s colour history.

Its brass base pays tribute to the brand’s earliest motorcycles from 1901. The bespoke Hypershift paintwork changes between shades of red, green and gold as light falls on the motorcycle, giving it a distinctive appearance.

Other details include a gilded 125-year crest, special side-panel badging and hand-painted pinstripes. Together, these touches highlight the craftsmanship behind the limited-edition model.

Familiar 650 Twin Performance

Underneath the special paintwork, the motorcycle retains Royal Enfield’s established 650 Twin platform. It combines the Classic’s retro styling with a twin-cylinder engine and a mechanically straightforward approach.

No mechanical changes have been announced for the anniversary edition. Its exclusivity comes primarily from the special finish, commemorative details and limited production numbers.

Final Take

The Hypershift Classic 650 is less about changing the motorcycle and more about celebrating what makes it recognisable. The colour-shifting finish gives the familiar Classic a fresh identity, while the brass accents and hand-painted details connect it to Royal Enfield’s past.

At ₹4.26 lakh, it is a premium-priced tribute aimed at enthusiasts who value exclusivity and design as much as the motorcycle itself. With only 125 units allocated per key region, getting one will be as much about securing a piece of the celebration as owning a Classic 650.
