Royal Enfield has launched the Himalayan 440, bringing back the spirit of the original Himalayan as the model completes 10 years. The new motorcycle gets a larger 443cc engine, a new six-speed gearbox, and mechanical updates while retaining the familiar, simple adventure-tourer approach.
Prices start at ₹2,29,000 (ex-showroom), with bookings opening on September 4, 2026.
New 443cc Engine
The Himalayan 440 is powered by a 443cc single-cylinder, long-stroke engine.
Key figures include:
- 25hp at 6,250 rpm
- 34 Nm at 4,000 rpm
- New six-speed gearbox
- Improved NVH levels
The additional sixth gear is designed to support more relaxed highway cruising.

The motorcycle uses a half-duplex split-cradle frame.
