Ultraviolette has confirmed that its upcoming Shockwave electric motorcycle will use the company’s new 100V architecture. The lightweight motorcycle is now scheduled to launch in India in the first quarter of 2027.
The new architecture is expected to bring stronger power delivery, better thermal efficiency, and faster charging. Ultraviolette has also started setting up the Shockwave’s production line at its existing manufacturing facility.
Built Around Riding Fun
The Shockwave, also called the FUNDURO, is designed as a lightweight motorcycle focused on the riding experience. Ultraviolette says its character draws inspiration from the raw and lively feel of classic two-stroke motorcycles.
The company has also confirmed that it will be offered in single-seat and dual-seat configurations.
100V Architecture For More Performance
The move to the new architecture follows Ultraviolette’s earlier announcement that the Tesseract will also use the 100V platform.
While the two products are aimed at very different types of riders, Ultraviolette says the technology is part of its continued development of electric powertrains.
The company has not yet revealed the Shockwave’s final specifications. Details such as power, battery capacity, range and charging time will be announced closer to its launch.
Production Preparations Underway
Ultraviolette says the Shockwave and Tesseract have been developed in parallel over the past year. Production preparations for the Shockwave have now begun at the company’s existing facility.
The motorcycle is set to arrive in Q1 2027, with more details expected closer to the launch.
