Ultraviolette Secures Strategic Investment from TDK Ventures to Accelerate Global EV Ambitions

Ultraviolette, an Indian electric vehicle startup, has received a major investment from TDK Ventures, the venture capital arm of TDK Corporation. This new partnership will help Ultraviolette speed up its plans to build and sell high-performance electric vehicles (EVs) around the world, showcasing Indian innovation and engineering.

TDK Ventures now joins a strong group of Ultraviolette’s investors, including Qualcomm Ventures, Zoho Corporation, Speciale Invest, Lingotto, and TVS Motor Company. Other well-known backers include Swiggy’s CEO Sriharsha Majety, Cure Foods’ Ankit Nagori, TaxiForSure’s Aprameya Radhakrishna, and actor Dulquer Salmaan.

Ultraviolette was started with the goal of making electric vehicles that combine futuristic design with top engineering. After years of research and development, Ultraviolette’s flagship motorcycle, the F77, has set new standards in performance, safety, and technology, making it one of the world’s most advanced electric bikes. Now, Ultraviolette is ramping up production, expanding its sales network, and planning to launch its products in global markets.

Narayan Subramaniam, CEO and Co-founder of Ultraviolette, said, “Mobility is changing fast, and Ultraviolette is leading the way with new technology. Our partnership with TDK Ventures will help us move faster, especially in advanced battery systems and smart vehicle tech. This collaboration brings us closer to our goal of making world-class electric vehicles.”

Niraj Rajmohan, CTO and Co-founder, added, “With TDK Ventures, we will keep pushing the limits in deep-tech and build safer, smarter, and more efficient electric vehicles.”

TDK Ventures supports startups that are working on big solutions in energy, mobility, and sustainability. Their investment in Ultraviolette shows their commitment to growing sustainable transport technology worldwide and puts them at the center of India’s electric two-wheeler revolution.

Ravi Jain, Investment Director at TDK Ventures, said, “We are excited to help Ultraviolette design the next generation of energy-efficient and high-performance electric two-wheelers. We look forward to supporting their global growth.”

In 2023, TDK Ventures also opened its Bengaluru Innovation Hub to help Indian entrepreneurs scale their deep-tech startups worldwide.
