VinFast Auto India, the Indian arm of global electric vehicle company VinFast, has opened its first showroom in Surat, Gujarat. This new showroom is an important step in VinFast’s plan to build a strong presence in the Country. The dealership, called ‘VinFast Surat,’ is run by Chandan Car, a well-known name in India’s car retail industry.
Located in Piplod, Surat, the 3,000 square foot showroom gives customers a place to witness and experience VinFast’s upcoming electric SUVs, the VF 6 and VF 7. The outlet offers a complete experience—from learning about the cars to buying them and getting after-sales support, all in one place.
VinFast started taking pre-bookings for the VF 6 and VF 7 electric SUVs on July 15, 2025. Customers can book their SUV at the showroom or online at VinFastAuto.in by paying a fully refundable token amount of ₹21,000.
VinFast plans to open 35 dealerships in more than 27 cities across India by the end of the year. The company will assemble its vehicles locally at a new factory in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu, showing its long-term commitment to India as a key market and future production hub.
At the showroom opening, Mr. Pham Sanh Chau, CEO of VinFast Asia, said the Surat showroom shows VinFast’s strong commitment to India. He said the company wants to offer not just electric vehicles, but a complete ownership experience built on quality, trust, and excellent service. He also praised Chandan Car for their experience and partnership in building a strong EV ecosystem in India.
VinFast is also working with partners like RoadGrid, myTVS, and Global Assure to set up a nationwide network for charging and after-sales service. The company has teamed up with BatX Energies to promote battery recycling and create a circular battery value chain, supporting a greener future.
