Hyundai Motor India has completed 30 years in India, marking the milestone with some massive numbers and even bigger plans.

Since entering the Indian market in 1996, Hyundai says it has sold over 13.5 million vehicles, including:
- Over 9.6 million vehicles sold in India
- Over 3.9 million vehicles exported to over 150 countries
Over the years, Hyundai has grown from being a new foreign brand in India to becoming one of the country’s biggest and most trusted carmakers.
A Massive Investment in India
Hyundai says it has already invested around:
- ₹40,700 crore in India since inception
And the company is not slowing down.
Between FY26 and FY30, Hyundai plans to invest another:
- ₹45,000 crore

Models like the Hyundai Verna, Hyundai Grand i10 Nios and Hyundai Aura continue to play a major role in exports.
Sustainability and Future Plans
Hyundai also says all of its India offices and manufacturing plants now run on:
- 100% renewable energy
The company is targeting carbon neutrality globally by 2045.
At the same time, Hyundai says it has:
- Planted over 1.29 million trees
- Supported over 2,300 schools
- Invested more than ₹803 crore in CSR initiatives since 2014
