Keeway Hypervolt-R Launched at ₹1.99 Lakh, Takes Aim at Premium Electric Scooters

Keeway has entered India’s premium electric scooter segment with the launch of the all-new Hypevolt-R, priced at ₹1.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Positioned as the brand’s flagship EV, the Hypevolt-R combines strong performance, a long feature list, and practical everyday usability. Bookings are now open for ₹5,000, with deliveries set to begin shortly.

Performance First

At the heart of the Hypevolt-R is a 16 hp permanent magnet synchronous motor paired with a 5kWh dual removable battery pack.

Performance figures include:

  • 180km IDC-certified range
  • 115km/h top speed
  • 0-40km/h in 2.3 seconds
  • 30-degree climbing ability
  • Eco, Normal, and Sport riding modes

The batteries can be charged both on and off the scooter, with Keeway claiming a 0-80 percent charge in around three hours.

Loaded With Technology

Keeway has equipped the Hypevolt-R with one of the most comprehensive electronics packages in the segment.

Key features include:

  • Dual-channel ABS
  • Traction Control System (TCS)
  • Hill Hold Control
  • Hill Descent Control
  • Intelligent Cruise Control
  • Blind Spot Detection
  • Rear Reverse Camera

Built For Everyday Use

The Hypevolt-R rides on 14-inch alloy wheels with semi-slick tyres and gets telescopic front forks along with a five-step adjustable rear suspension. A 130mm ground clearance should make it reasonably capable on Indian roads.

Other highlights include:

  • 5-inch TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity
  • Projector LED headlamps
  • Full-width LED light strip
  • 27-litre under-seat storage
  • USB Type-A and Type-C charging ports
  • Reverse mode
  • 770mm seat height

The scooter will be offered in Crystal White and Platinum Grey.

Now, all eyes will be on whether Keeway can deliver an ownership experience that’s just as convincing as the brochure.
