MG Motors India Unveils MG Majestor

JSW MG Motors India has unveiled the MG Majestor. The company first showcased the SUV at the Bharat Mobility expo. Now it has opened pre-bookings at ₹41,000. The company will announce the prices closer to the launch.

Dimensions

The Majestor stands as the longest (5046 mm), widest (2016 mm), and tallest (1870 mm) in its segment. The SUV sits on a 2950 mm wheelbase and aims to offer both strong road presence and generous cabin space.

Engine Capacity

The Majestor is powered by a 2-0 litre twin-turbo diesel that produces 212 hp and 478.5 Nm of torque. Additionally, the engine comes paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission, available in both 2WD and 4WD forms.

Exterior Design

The exterior features a large grille, split headlamps, LED-daytime running lights, connected LED taillamps with sequential turn indicators, and 19-inch alloy wheels. The raised bonnet and upright stance make it look distinct from its predecessor MG Gloster.

Interior and Climate Control

Inside, the Majestor gets ventilated and massage-enabled seats with memory and welcome functions. Buyers get three-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, 64 colour ambient lighting, and a 220V power outlet.

Infotainment and Connectivity

The SUV comes in both six- and seven-seat configurations. Furthermore, it features dual 12.3-inch displays for infotainment and instrument readings. In addition, it supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, while also offering a 12-speaker JBL audio system and dual wireless chargers.

Off-road Enabling Features

The Majestor offers an advanced 4WD system with 10 off-road modes. In Auto mode, the system operates in 2WD under normal conditions; however, it automatically switches to 4WD when it detects a loss of traction.

Furthermore, the SUV introduces triple differential locks front, rear, and centre  which MG claims is a first in the segment. In addition, it features Crawl Control Mode, 219 mm ground clearance, and an 810 mm water-wading capacity.

Safety and Automation

On the safety front, the Majestor comes with level 2 ADAS. These features assist with steering, braking, and acceleration under certain conditions. The SUV also gets a 360-degree camera.

Customer Perks

MG provides a 5-year unlimited kilometre warranty, 5-year roadside assistance, and 5 labour-free services.

Price and Availability

MG will announce prices in April 2026, followed by showroom displays and test drives. The company will deliver the cars by May 2026.
