Porsche India has opened order books for the updated 992.2-generation 911 GT3, priced at Rs 3.33 crore (ex-showroom, before options). The latest GT3 arrives in India nearly two years after its global debut and continues to represent the most track-focused version of the 911 range.

Unlike most modern performance cars, the GT3 stays true to its roots with a naturally aspirated flat-six engine that revs all the way to 9,000rpm.
Naturally Aspirated Thrills Remain
Power comes from a 4.0-litre naturally aspirated flat-six mounted behind the rear axle.
Engine specifications:
- 4.0-litre naturally aspirated flat-six
- 510hp
- 450Nm
- 7-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission
- Rear-wheel drive
- 0-100kph in 3.4 seconds
- Top speed of 311kph
Unlike some global markets, India gets only the PDK automatic gearbox.
Porsche also equips the GT3 with rear-wheel steering, torque vectoring, active suspension and a lightweight sports exhaust as standard.
Sharper Design, More Downforce
The GT3 builds on the standard 911 Carrera with a host of aerodynamic upgrades.
Key highlights include larger front air intakes, a redesigned bonnet with air ducts, a bigger front splitter and a revised rear diffuser.
The most striking element remains the massive swan-neck rear wing, paired with an integrated ducktail spoiler.
Other exterior highlights include:
- 20-inch front wheels
- 21-inch rear wheels
- Wider track-focused tyres
- Central twin exhaust outlets
- GT3-specific bumpers and aero elements
Weissach and Manthey Packages Available
Customers looking for more performance can opt for Porsche’s Weissach Package.
Priced at Rs 43.9 lakh, it adds carbon-fibre components, lightweight doors, a carbon roll cage and other weight-saving measures.
Porsche is also offering the Manthey Kit for an additional Rs 1 crore.
The package adds extensive aerodynamic upgrades, revised suspension settings and upgraded brakes. Porsche claims the Manthey-equipped GT3 lapped the Nürburgring in 6:52.981, quicker than the legendary 918 Spyder.
Familiar Cabin, Track-Focused Touches
Inside, the GT3 retains much of the standard 911’s layout but adds several motorsport-inspired details.
Features include:
- 10.9-inch touchscreen
- 12.6-inch digital instrument display
- Sport Chrono package
- Analogue stopwatch
- Wireless charging
- Dual-zone climate control
- Powered sports seats
The rear seats have been deleted to save weight.

Final Take
The 911 GT3 remains one of the last great naturally aspirated performance cars on sale today. With its 9,000rpm flat-six, rear-wheel-drive layout and uncompromising focus on driver engagement, it offers an experience that few modern supercars can match. Expensive? Absolutely. But for enthusiasts, the GT3 remains the benchmark.
