Indian electric motorcycle manufacturer Ultraviolette has achieved a significant milestone on the global stage, becoming the first Indian motorcycle brand to complete a lap of the legendary Isle of Man TT Mountain Circuit.

Taking on the Sport’s Toughest Course
The achievement was accomplished using five Ultraviolette F77 MACH 2 motorcycles on the final day of the 2026 Isle of Man TT races.
The motorcycles were ridden by:
- James Hillier, former Isle of Man TT winner
- Ranvijay Singha, actor and motorcycle enthusiast
- Abhishek Vasudev, multiple national champion
Widely regarded as one of the most challenging motorcycle circuits in the world, the Isle of Man TT Mountain Course stretches 60.72 km across public roads, featuring high-speed straights, blind corners and dramatic elevation changes.
A Milestone for Indian EV’s
Ultraviolette says the achievement highlights the growing maturity of electric motorcycle technology and showcases the capabilities of Indian engineering on a global platform.
The company believes that completing the Mountain Course demonstrates that high-performance electric motorcycles are now capable of tackling some of the world’s most demanding riding environments.
The F77 is currently the only Indian electric two-wheeler certified for sale in the UK and is also available across 18 European countries.
Call for Electric Racing’s Return
Speaking on the achievement, Ultraviolette CEO and co-founder Narayan Subramaniam highlighted the historical significance of the Isle of Man TT and referenced the former TT Zero electric motorcycle category.
According to Subramaniam, electric motorcycles have now reached a level of performance and capability that could support the return of electric racing to the Isle of Man TT, helping drive the next phase of innovation in the motorcycle industry.
