Audi has pulled the covers off the all-new Audi Nuvolari, its first-ever high-performance hybrid supercar and the most powerful production vehicle in the brand’s history. Limited to just 499 units, the Nuvolari combines Formula 1-inspired technology with a lightweight carbon-intensive construction, signalling a new chapter for Audi’s performance division ahead of its Formula 1 debut in 2026.
Deliveries of the Nuvolari are scheduled to begin in the first half of 2027.
At the heart of the Nuvolari is a hybrid powertrain that develops a combined 987 hp.
The setup combines a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine producing 800 hp and three axial-flux electric motors producing 147 hp each.
Audi claims the supercar can accelerate from:
Before reaching a top speed of:
Over 350 km/h.
A 7.3 kWh lithium-ion battery supports the hybrid system, while two electric motors at the front axle help provide advanced torque vectoring and all-wheel-drive capability.
Audi says the Nuvolari draws heavily from lessons learned through its Formula 1 programme.
The supercar features:
In its highest downforce setting, the active aerodynamic package can generate more than 400 kg of downforce, helping improve stability and cornering performance at high speeds.
The Nuvolari is the first Audi production model to combine the brand’s:
Almost every exterior panel is made from carbon-fibre reinforced polymer, helping reduce weight while improving rigidity. Audi has also introduced forged centre-lock wheels for the first time on a production model.
Inside, the Nuvolari adopts a minimalist and driver-centric layout. The cabin combines:
Audi says every element has been designed to keep the driver focused on performance while maintaining everyday usability.
The Nuvolari takes its name from Tazio Nuvolari, one of motorsport’s most celebrated drivers. Known for his fearless driving style and numerous victories during the 1920s and 1930s, Nuvolari remains one of the most iconic figures in racing history.

The Audi Nuvolari is arguably Audi’s most ambitious road car yet. With over 987 hp, Formula 1-derived technology and a limited production run, it serves as a showcase of what the brand’s engineers can achieve when performance is prioritised above all else.
More importantly, it offers a glimpse into how Audi plans to transfer racing technology to its future high-performance road cars.
