Dodge Charger Enters A New Dawn, Blending Heritage with Modern Design

Dodge has revealed more details of the design philosophy behind the all-new Charger, marking the beginning of a new chapter for one of America’s most iconic muscle cars. Available in both all-electric Daytona and twin-turbo SIXPACK forms, the new Charger combines classic styling cues with modern technology without losing its unmistakable identity.

Classic Charger, modern execution

The new Charger retains its signature wide stance and muscular proportions but adopts a cleaner, more aerodynamic design. While the electric Daytona gets a functional R-Wing at the front to improve airflow, the petrol-powered SIXPACK models feature a performance hood with a black grille-style insert carrying the SIXPACK logo.

Other highlights include:

  • Full-width LED front light bar
  • ‘Ring of Fire’ LED tail lamps
  • Return of the iconic Fratzog logo
  • Available as both a coupe and sedan
  • New Purple Haze exterior colour joins the palette

A cabin focused on the driver

Inside, Dodge has taken inspiration from the 1968 Charger while adding a modern twist. The dashboard is centred around the driver, with digital displays and a layered cockpit layout.

Key interior features include:

  • 64-colour ambient lighting
  • Driver-focused digital cockpit
  • New Petrol Blue performance seats
  • Leather and suede upholstery options
  • Heritage-inspired dashboard design

Electric or petrol, your choice

Unlike many manufacturers moving to EVs alone, Dodge is offering the Charger with multiple powertrains.

The lineup includes:

  • 420hp Charger R/T SIXPACK
  • 550hp Charger Scat Pack SIXPACK
  • 536hp Charger Daytona R/T EV
  • 670hp Charger Daytona Scat Pack EV

Every version comes standard with all-wheel drive.

Final Take

Dodge deserves credit for resisting the temptation to abandon its muscle car roots. Offering both electric and twin-turbo petrol versions is the right move, and the Charger still packs serious performance.

But the design may split opinions. While it’s clean and modern, it lacks some of the raw aggression and visual drama that made previous Chargers instant icons. For many enthusiasts, this new look simply doesn’t carry the same presence as its predecessors, and some may feel it doesn’t quite do justice to the legendary Charger name.
