Ford is working on a facelift version of Figo hatchback. Along with the hatchback, Ford will also launch Figo Cross in India. This new model is basically jacked up version of regular Figo with raised up suspension, body claddings and roof rails. The Figo Cross is going to be powered by 1.2 L 3 cylinder Dragon Series petrol engine producing 95 HP of power and 115 NM of torque. This engine is mated to 5 speed manual gearbox and soon Ford will introduce AMT with this same engine.
Compared to bigger 1.5 L Dragon series engine the smaller one missed out balancer shaft which reduces vibrations. Apart from engine, we can also expect re-styled interior for Figo with more features. Ford Figo and Cross will retain 1.5 L diesel engine from current model. We can expect Ford to launch new Figo Cross and Hatchback facelift next year in India.
