Forza Horizon 6 has officially been revealed by Playground Games, and the latest entry in the Horizon series is finally heading to Japan.
The game was showcased during Xbox Developer Direct, with developers revealing new gameplay details, fresh mechanics, and a deeper focus on Japanese car culture.
Unlike previous Horizon games, players will not start as an established racer. Instead, Forza Horizon 6 begins with the player arriving in Japan as a Tourist and Horizon fan with the dream of eventually joining the Horizon Festival.
The developers say the idea was to make the experience feel more personal and immersive as you explore an unfamiliar country.

Playground Games says the goal was not to recreate Japan exactly, but to capture the feeling of driving through Japan in a condensed Horizon-style world.

The Collection Journal lets players document discoveries and landmarks across Japan, inspired by Japanese stamp-collection culture.
Meanwhile, Car Meets are based on real-life Japanese car-gathering culture, especially Daikoku PA, where players can meet online, showcase builds, and download custom liveries.
